Any person who receives support from Prospect Burma will automatically become a Prospect Burma alum once they graduate from their course. You will join more than 1,600 other alumni who have graduated since the 1990s. Many have moved into senior roles in organisations working to benefit people in Myanmar. Others have founded their own organisations.
Prospect Burma alumni provide a great opportunity for networking, mentorships, internships and sharing of information and skills.
Becoming an alum
As part of your scholarship award, you will be required to attend a Prospect Burma graduation ceremony (usually via Zoom). You will present your course achievements. You will meet several fellow new alumni and have the opportunity to make new contacts as you begin your career.
You will also be required to complete a short survey at 1, 3 and 5 years after you graduate. This helps us to know what you do next – and be able to tell our donors and funders about the great work you are doing.
Current alumni
Welcome back! The current situation in Myanmar means our annual face-to-face conferences are indefinitely postponed. But there are still opportunities to make connections:
- Get in touch with us. We always love to hear what you are up to. And if we know how to contact you, then we can include you in future alumni networking opportunities. If you are in contact with other alumni – please ask them to email us and say hi too!
- Fundraise for us: We know you pay forward our support by doing fantastic work to help the people of Myanmar. But we also rely on donations – so anything you can do to help us fund the next generation of students would be very welcome.
